Four Russian helicopters destroyed on the territory of the Russian Federation
The Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine successfully executed an operation to destroy four enemy helicopters on the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Through the joint efforts of the Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, and the Missile Forces and Artillery, two Ka-52 attack helicopters and two Mi-8 transport helicopters were destroyed in the Belgorod region.
'All helicopters were destroyed by missile strikes behind enemy lines, where the enemy had created a landing site for aviation - a concealed position for rapid movement of aircraft or for surprise attacks on the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine,' reported the Special Operations Forces.
It is known that the Ka-52 is an attack helicopter used by Russian troops for reconnaissance and strikes on ground targets. The Mi-8 transport helicopters are used by the enemy to transport personnel, cargo, and support ground operations.
