Fire at hotel in Majorca: 20 people sought assistance

According to The Sun: About 20 people, including children, received medical help due to smoke inhalation, and some tourists got stuck in the elevator during the fire at a hotel in Majorca.

The incident occurred in the morning at the Bellevue Bonita and Club Resort in Puerto de Alcudia. The fire broke out in the elevator machine room, causing panic among holidaymakers.

Several holidaymakers got stuck in the elevator, but they have been freed. Three people, including one child, were urgently taken to the hospital after the incident.

The fire alarm went off shortly after 9:00 at this four-star complex in northeastern Majorca.

Local firefighters reported in response to the emergency:

“A fire occurred in the elevator machine room. There are people trapped in the elevators, and the hotel is being evacuated.”

Among the 18 people who received assistance for smoke inhalation at Muro Hospital were two girls aged 8 and 13 years. Most patients are likely holidaymakers, although at least two hotel staff members also received assistance.

Firefighters evacuated the hotel, although some guests were advised to remain in their rooms and go out on the balconies.

The local police and Civil Guard officers also arrived at the scene.

Firefighters later provided information:

“Three individuals were taken to hospital, one to Inca and two to Muro.”

Details regarding the nationalities of the injured are not provided.

The Bellevue Club hotel is characterized as “a lively and large complex, perfect for family vacations.”

No official comments from the hotel have been received at this time.

It is known to be an impressive resort popular among tourists, located among picturesque beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured during the fire.
