Deadly Danger in the Elevator: Father Rushed to Save His Son Who Fell into the Shaft.
Terrible Situation in the Elevator
According to The Sun: In a horrifying moment, parents watched as their child tried to squeeze through the elevator doors and fell into the shaft. His father, Oleksiy, had to jump to save his two-year-old son Matviy in a high-rise building in Voronezh, Russia.
Surveillance footage captured in the lobby shows the boy attempting to get into the elevator before disappearing into the shaft.
“It happened in an instant, we didn't even have time to react,” recalls the father.
The parents felt their hearts in their throats again when they saw their son fall, but Oleksiy didn't hesitate and jumped into the abyss.
“I just couldn't sit back and do nothing,” he noted.
Everyone around was in shock, but thanks to the father's bravery, the boy was saved.
This incident again highlights the importance of safety in multi-story buildings, particularly concerning the operation of elevators. Parents and responsible services must thoroughly check the technical condition of elevators to prevent similar situations in the future. Supervising children in such areas remains a crucial safety factor.
