Ukrainian Drone Strikes Across Russian Territory

According to Espreso.tv: Military-political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko, from the 'Information Resistance' group, has reported that Ukrainian drones have struck targets inside Russia, including areas near Omsk and Penza. According to him, these attacks are aimed at oil refineries and military industrial facilities. Omsk, located roughly 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine, is home to Russia’s last fully operational oil refinery still producing over 5 tons of gasoline.

Details of the Attacks

Kovalenko noted that on the night of July 1, Ukraine's defense forces hit an oil refinery in Ufa. Additional strikes that same night included:

  • A military plant in Penza;
  • Hangars housing Russian fighter jets at the Saky airbase in Crimea.
'We are now truly scaling up strikes deep into the Russian Federation' – Oleksandr Kovalenko.

He further added that 'regarding Penza, there were strikes on a state-owned enterprise, the so-called bearing plant,' and that 'a strike was also carried out, as currently reported, on the Mayak facility.' These actions continue to highlight the growing activity of Ukrainian forces in response to military aggression.

This information points to an escalation in the conflict and a shift in the focus of Ukrainian military operations deeper into Russian territory, potentially signaling new strategic approaches in the war. Targeting critical infrastructure underscores Ukraine’s efforts to degrade the enemy’s military potential and economic capacity for support. Such moves could alter the dynamics of the conflict, forcing Russia to reconsider its military strategies.
