Incident at the Metro Station in Taiwan
At least nine people were injured, four of whom are in critical condition, after an assailant set off smoke grenades and attacked with a knife. The event occurred at one of the major metro stations in Taiwan, and after the attack, the assailant jumped from the roof and died.According to The Sun: Witnesses reported hearing several loud explosions near the station exit, after which chaos ensued. People panicked and tried to flee the scene of the incident.
“I thought it was just a fire, but then I saw people running and screaming,” said one witness.
Law enforcement quickly responded to the situation, rapidly transporting the injured to the hospital.
This incident has caused serious alarm among the residents of Taiwan, as the metro is used by thousands of people every day. Authorities promise to conduct a thorough investigation to determine all the circumstances of the tragedy and ensure the safety of public transport in the future.
