China and Russia are creating genetically modified soldiers: what is known about the program.
According to The Sun: An unexpected moment during the military parade in China drew attention to the joint plans of China and Russia regarding the development of genetically modified super-soldiers.
Scientists are considering the possibility of creating soldiers, "bred like cattle", who do not feel pain and are capable of killing. Experts are already discussing how countries with dangerous ambitions can realize these plans.

Genetic modifications could become the basis for creating stronger soldiers.
The leaders of China, Russia, and North Korea at the parade in Beijing discussed the potential of biotechnology for extending life and the possibility of achieving immortality.
Putin mentioned organ transplants that could help in this matter.
"We may be able to achieve immortality," he noted.
"Worse than a nuclear bomb"
In 2017, Putin warned that genetically modified troops could turn out to be "worse than a nuclear bomb".
Today, eight years later and billions spent, this idea is becoming increasingly alarming.
"I can create soldiers with 'predetermined characteristics', such as 'a man without fear' or 'a genius,'" he told children.
Since then, experts have warned that China has similar ambitions. The renowned Chinese scientist He Jiankui already created three genetically modified children who were resistant to HIV back in 2020.
Professor John Laut said: "GM technologies have been proven on plants and can absolutely be applied to humans."id='6378259910112' data-video-id='6378259910112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.6:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'>
Professor Laut noted that the threat is obvious and real:
"Chinese investments may already outpace Western armed forces, which is deeply alarming," he said.
In China, Dr. Jiankui has been imprisoned for "illegal medical practice", however, investigations indicate that higher military officials support gene editing research.

Hercules Strength
Genetically modified military personnel could not only gain increased strength but also improved abilities compared to their opponents.
Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, a former commander of NATO forces, warned that bio-defense could become "the nuclear weapon of the future".
"Creating superhumans, such as athletes or soldiers, sounds quite fantastic, but technically it is becoming more and more plausible," he said.
Michael Clarke, a professor of military studies, noted that countries may use DNA just as farmers use livestock.
"We have reached a point where we can potentially manipulate human DNA," he added.
These technologies could intensify the race in biotechnology, as countries are wary that China may create new types of soldiers in the near future.

Bionic suits for combat
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Putin showcased new weapons, including bionic suits that give soldiers superhuman abilities.
These exoskeletons provide enhanced strength, precision, and endurance in combat conditions.
Maxim Skov, CEO of Exo Solutions, emphasized that his company has received inquiries from "special agencies" wishing to test their equipment on the battlefield.
These events indicate that military technologies are constantly evolving in the modern world. Genetic modifications and the latest advances in biotechnology open new horizons for armies but also raise serious ethical questions. Discussions about creating genetically modified soldiers and bionic technologies could mark the beginning of a new era in military affairs that the world has yet to face. Read also
