The USA is sending Trump's special envoy and son-in-law Kushner to Paris for negotiations on Ukraine.
According to ТСН: President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will participate in negotiations regarding Ukraine, scheduled for next week in Paris.
According to a White House representative, both diplomats will be involved in consultations related to the situation concerning the war in Ukraine.
Imbalance between Germany and France
It's worth noting that at the end of 2025, there was an observed imbalance in the European Union between the two major powers — Germany and France. Western media even reported that
“Macron betrayed Merz”.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz failed to persuade representatives of EU countries to use 210 billion euros of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine due to a lack of backing from a key ally — French President Emmanuel Macron.
These negotiations could be an important step in addressing the crisis in Ukraine and strengthening international support. The situation between Germany and France highlights the complexity of political relations in Europe and the need to consolidate efforts to assist Kyiv amid the ongoing war.
