Hyundai to Launch Five New Models in 18 Months, Including Ioniq 3 and Tucson Refresh.
Hyundai's New Model Offensive
According to Novyny.live: Hyundai has announced an ambitious plan to introduce five new models to the market within the next 18 months. This aggressive rollout is part of the brand's strategy to strengthen its position in the increasingly competitive European market. Among the highlights is the Hyundai Ioniq 3 electric vehicle, which is scheduled for its official debut at Milan Design Week in April. The Ioniq 3 is expected to offer a driving range of approximately 628 km, with a starting price potentially around $44,500.
Alongside the new EV, Hyundai will unveil a new generation of its popular Tucson crossover. The Tucson is a crucial model for the brand, already accounting for a significant 30% of its sales in Europe, which underscores its strong consumer appeal. Hyundai Europe's CEO, Xavier Martine, emphasized the company's commitment, stating:
“The company is moving fast to provide European customers with choice.” - Xavier Martine
Hyundai's broader goal is to electrify its entire model lineup by 2027. This strategic push is already showing results, with the company's sales of electrified vehicles growing by 24% last year. In the UK alone, 93,124 new Hyundai vehicles were registered, indicating robust demand for the brand's products.
Doubling Down on Electrification
Hyundai continues to invest heavily in its electric vehicle portfolio, aiming to meet the evolving demands of the modern market and shifting consumer preferences. The planned expansion, featuring models like the Ioniq 3 and the new Tucson, demonstrates the company's proactive stance in a rapidly changing automotive landscape. These investments in electrification are likely to be pivotal for Hyundai's future success as it seeks to solidify its standing among European consumers.
