The Bosnian War Continues: The Story of a Veteran Who Has Yet to Find Peace.
Veterans Meeting at the National Memorial Arboretum
According to The Sun: About 900 veterans will gather at the National Memorial Arboretum to honor the memory of the end of the war in Bosnia. Despite the fact that thirty years have passed since the end of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia, for military chef Stephen Gallagher, the war has never ended.
My war continues to this day, - admits Steve.
He talks about the consequences of the military actions that he still feels, including his struggle with addiction. Veterans who participated in this war meet to support each other and honor the memory of the fallen.
This meeting serves as an important reminder of the numbers and faces of the people who suffered from the war, as well as the necessity to support those who are facing its consequences. Such events help veterans find common ground and share their experiences, as each of them has a story that deserves to be heard and honored.
