The doctor debunks myths about women's health: from PCOS to leg pain.
The unknown reason for body self-awareness
According to The Sun: Sometimes our body can lead us to a state of confusion when the problem seems to be simple and clear.
But, as it turns out, our bodies are true masters of intrigue and irreversible engines of mystery.
The lack of simplicity in identifying the root of the problem may lead you to think that you are doing something wrong, but don't lose hope.
Some questions that dominate the thoughts of both you and my readers may encourage you to believe that you are not alone in your situation.
QUESTION: My granddaughter is 18 years old.
She has unwanted hair on her cheeks, chin, chest, and stomach that she waxes every month, as well as an irregular menstrual cycle.
She might have polycystic ovary syndrome, but they say an ultrasound can only be done after eight years of menstruation.
Right now she is taking combined contraception to regulate her cycle.
The nurse said that this probably won't solve the hair issue, so she went back to the doctor only to hear that nothing needs to be done on the National Health Service, as it's a cosmetic problem, and she should seek private clinics.
I am astonished by this situation.
She will start university in September, but this hair problem really bothers her and may affect her mental health.
Should she seek a second opinion?
It is important to consider all aspects of these situations and look at them from different angles to find the best solution for your body and health.
Remember, the first thought or method is not always the final one, and it’s worth looking for other paths to health and self-awareness of your body.
