Usyk responded to Paul on the MMA fight plan: I will wait for you in the cage.
Alexander Usyk warned Jake Paul about the fight in MMA
According to The Sun: Alexander Usyk stated his readiness for the match with Jake Paul in the MMA cage.
Paul shared his five-year plan, which includes: becoming a father, marrying his fiancée Yutta Lerdam, and becoming a billionaire.
GettyAmong his plans, he also aims to become a world boxing champion, and the fight with Usyk is ranked fifth on the list.
“Good plan, @jakepaul. But I'm not for fifth place — only for first,”
said the undisputed heavyweight champion Usyk.
“Soon I will close the book on boxing, and after that I will wait for you in the cage. Let's see if you have the courage or just a thirst for hype.”
Co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions Nakisa Bidarian noted that negotiations with Usyk's team are ongoing behind closed doors.
“We’ve had a few conversations, all very positive, and it just depends on how circumstances align,”
said Bidarian.
“I think the possibility exists. Jake is crazy enough to do it, for sure, Usyk's team is also very interested. So it's just a matter of aligning the timing, and I believe it will ultimately happen.”
Usyk, 38, has currently taken a break after his victory over Daniel Dubois in July, where he was recognized as the undisputed heavyweight champion.
Though he was supposed to meet Joseph Parker, he was granted an exemption due to an injury.
Usyk, who has defeated Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Dubois twice in his career, warned that he only has one fight left. Paul is on the list of potential opponents, but only in the MMA cage.

These statements from Usyk and Paul indicate that interest in a fight between them does not wane, and both sides are open to opportunities that may arise in the future. The fight in the MMA cage could be a highlight event for fans of both athletes, as both have their unique styles and approaches to the sport, and this could attract the attention of a wider audience.
