The British Air Force has begun duty in Poland for the first time: how they respond to actions by the Russian Federation.
According to The Sun: Yesterday, the Royal Air Force (RAF) conducted its first mission as part of a new enhanced air defense strategy on NATO's eastern flank. This reaffirms the stance of the participating nations against the Russian leadership: "Back off."
Two Typhoon fighter jets, armed with air-to-air missiles, conducted an eight-hour operation amidst escalating tensions from Russia, which has repeatedly violated NATO airspace.

Pilots authorized to shoot down enemy drones in the “danger zone” east of Poland took off from RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, marking the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The Voyager refueling aircraft also provided support to the pilots during their operation. Danish F-16s, French Rafales, and German Eurofighters are participating in the rotational air defense, planning to conduct night missions.
Defense Minister Jon Healey noted that he is “proud” of the British pilots and crew involved in the “successful operation to protect our allies from reckless Russian aggression.”
He added: “This weekend, as we honor the bravery of the Battle of Britain generation, it is particularly important that RAF pilots and crew stand shoulder to shoulder with Poland in defense of our shared security.”
Just hours before the British jets' departure, three Russian military aircraft spent 12 minutes in Estonian airspace in a “reckless” attempt to intimidate the Baltic state, but were eventually chased away by Italian F-35 fighters.
Additionally, two Russian aircraft flew over the Polish oil platform Petrobaltic in the Baltic Sea, violating the platform's safety zone.
This month, nineteen Russian drones crossed into Poland, while another entered Romanian airspace.
As NATO enhances its defense, Russian attacks on Ukraine continue. Yesterday, 40 missiles and 580 drones were launched, resulting in at least three deaths and numerous injuries.

After refueling at 25,000 feet, the Typhoon pilot turned right and raced off in search of enemy aircraft.

The Sun on Sunday joined the RAF's first mission in a new NATO air defense operation to protect its eastern flank.
Allies took action after numerous intrusions into NATO airspace in recent days from Russian drones and aircraft.
At 8:29 PM on Friday, the RAF joined this new operation for the first time, when our Voyager took off from RAF Brize Norton.
Two Typhoon fighters took off later that same evening from RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire.
Main operations took place near the Polish border in an area known as the “danger zone” — adjacent to the Russian region of Kaliningrad.
It was here that some of the 19 drones crossed into Poland this month were destroyed.
Typhoons, which the RAF regards as “first on watch” for airspace control, made several trips back to Voyager for refueling, flying just 40 feet at a speed of 440 miles per hour.
During the eight-hour mission, nothing suspicious was detected. This time, all was quiet on NATO's eastern front.
However, no one expects it to stay that way.
