Investors in Ukraine's green energy sector have not received almost 40% of their earned money.

According to the state enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer", in 2024, producers of electricity from renewable sources received 61.6% of funds for the produced electricity. This is significantly less than in previous years - 90.5% in 2023, 61.1% in 2022, and 99.6% in 2021.
The total debt of "Ukrenergo" for financing the use of renewable energy services amounts to 25.96 billion hryvnias.
Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Renewable Energy and CEO of Solar Generation Stanislav Ignatiev stated that to restore investors' confidence, Ukraine needs to solve the debt crisis problem in the "green" energy sector.
