Tehran has now signaled a readiness to reconsider its nuclear program and has put forward new compromise measures in negotiations with Washington. These talks are a critical test for the future of the 2015 nuclear deal, which has been in limbo since the US withdrawal in 2018.

Iran has communicated its willingness to adjust its approach to its nuclear activities. Specifically, it has offered to export half of its most highly enriched uranium stockpile. A senior Iranian official noted,
