Iran proposes a ceasefire in Lebanon on the condition of halting Israel's military campaign in Gaza Strip
During a visit to Beirut, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi proposed to support efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon, but only if Israel stops its military campaign in the Gaza Strip. This proposal was made on Friday, during the first visit of a high-ranking Iranian official to the Lebanese capital since the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah following an Israeli airstrike last week. Araghchi emphasized the importance of using diplomatic opportunities to support Lebanon and the region in the fight against Israel.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to conduct airstrikes against top Hezbollah commanders, increasing tensions in the region.
