Iran denied allegations of plotting to kill Donald Trump. According to documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice, Iranian officials approached an Afghan citizen residing in Tehran, asking him to focus on surveillance and killing Trump.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran dismissed these claims as baseless and denied them. They also stated that similar accusations had been made in the past, which Iran denied. The Ministry believes that these statements are a conspiracy intended to complicate relations between the United States and Iran.

Earlier, the U.S. Department of Justice accused an Iranian of conspiring to kill newly elected President Donald Trump. Trump has already survived two assassination attempts. The first occurred on July 13, when he was forced to interrupt a speech in Pennsylvania due to a shooting. Later, it was reported that he lost a lot of blood after a head injury. The second attempt took place on September 15 near a golf club where Trump was staying. The suspect in the attempted murder was detained and identified as Ryan Raut.
