Iran launched over 100 ballistic missiles at Israel: video.
The Iranian armed forces struck Israel on Friday evening, launching about a hundred ballistic missiles. The Israel Defense Forces immediately declared an alert for the entire country and ordered residents to seek shelter in protected spaces.
According to the Iranian agency Tasnim, the missiles hit Tel Aviv, causing a series of explosions throughout the capital and other areas of the country. The IDF confirmed the origin of the missiles from Iran and reported that defense systems were working to intercept the threat.
'We urge the population to hurry to protected spaces and remain there until new instructions are given,' reported the Israeli military.
The Iranian attack was a reaction to an Israeli operation that targeted nuclear sites in Natanz and Isfahan, as well as military command centers.
Among those killed in the Israeli operation were General Hossein Salami, Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, commander of the Quds forces Ismail Qaani, politician Ali Shamkhani, and several nuclear scientists.
The escalation of the conflict has come at a high cost for both sides, deepening tensions in the Middle East.
As a result of the attacks and responses, both sides have lost high-ranking officials and faced serious consequences.
