Iran Launches Largest Missile Attack on Israel – Pentagon.
Yesterday, Iran carried out an attack on Israel, launching twice the number of ballistic missiles compared to its previous attack in April. The United States deployed a dozen interceptors to counter this threat. This was reported by Pentagon spokesperson Major General Pat Ryder, citing CNN and Sky News.
This is roughly double the number of ballistic missiles they launched last Time. So, certainly, like last time, their intention is destruction
Ryder also reported that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin held his second conversation with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant yesterday.
He reaffirmed the United States' unwavering commitment to protecting Israel and emphasized that the US continues to maintain a strong posture throughout the Middle East region to protect American forces and Israel from threats posed by Iran and Iran-supported terrorist organizations
Currently, three guided-missile destroyers are operating in the eastern Mediterranean Sea: USS Arleigh Burke, USS Cole, and USS Bulkeley. According to Ryder, destroyers USS Bulkeley and USS Cole were involved in the operation.
