In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army destroyed a high-ranking Hamas member - Walid Alsusi, who headed the group's general security forces department. This was done as a result of a fighter's strike on a school where a Hamas command post was located. In total, about 20 militants and senior commanders were in this building.
The Gaza Strip Civil Defense Agency reports the death of up to 100 people due to this strike, but this information is denied by the Israeli army. It is worth mentioning that Israel agreed to negotiations with Hamas regarding a ceasefire and the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip.

According to the US Secretary of State, negotiations between Israel and Hamas have reached the final stage. These negotiations could end active hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
Threat of Iran attack
Iran made a statement of its intention to attack Israel after the death of the head of Hamas' political bureau. Israel and Hamas blamed Iran for this attack and assured of their readiness to respond.
