Israel announced the elimination of high-ranking Iranian nuclear scientists.
The IDF reported the removal of nine scientists who were working on the Iranian nuclear program. The Israel Defense Forces carried out strikes in various regions of Iran, resulting in the removal of nine experts.
Among the eliminated specialists:
- Fereydoun Abbasi - expert in nuclear engineering;
- Mohammad Mahdi Tehrani - expert in physics;
- Akbar Motalebi Zadeh - expert in chemical engineering;
- Saeed Barji - expert in materials science;
- Amir Hasan Fahahi - expert in physics;
- Abd al-Hamid Minushir - expert in reactor physics;
- Mansour Asgari - expert in physics;
- Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Daryani - expert in nuclear engineering;
- Ali Bahuei Katirimi - expert in mechanics.
All these scientists were key participants in the development of nuclear weapons for the Iranian regime, and their elimination dealt a serious blow to Iran's capability to acquire weapons of mass destruction.
Israel announced the closure of its diplomatic missions after the strikes on Iranian facilities, in response to Iran's development of nuclear weapons, which are considered a threat to security.
Israel's strikes on Iranian scientists involved in nuclear weapons development underscore the tense relations between these two countries and the heightened situation in the Gulf region.
