Jaguar unveils electric sedan for £120,000: first details.
According to Korrespondent.net: Jaguar is preparing one of the most significant relaunches in its history – in the summer of 2026, the company will announce the electric GT sedan, which will mark a new phase in the development of the British brand. This was reported by Jaguar CEO Roudon Glover, emphasizing that the current period is the 'end of the beginning' of the company's transformation.
Glover noted that the new model will reflect Jaguar's 21st-century philosophy – it will be a car unlike any other on the road. It will have a low stance, dynamic proportions, and a distinctive emotional character. The brand leader emphasized that this approach will return Jaguar to its historical roots, to the times of the E-Type, XJ220, and other models that once changed the perception of the design of production cars.

The new electric GT will be the first model in the updated lineup and will be positioned in the ultra-premium segment. Its starting price will be around £120,000, with the average price of the model range estimated at around £140,000. Traditional configurations will not be available; instead, the brand will focus on deep personalization, individual orders, and limited series at higher prices.
The company believes that there is a free niche between the upper premium segment and ultra-luxury, such as Rolls-Royce or Bentley, where Jaguar has the opportunity to establish itself.
Technically, the GT will be fully electric. Jaguar does not consider the possibility of using internal combustion engines. The car will be equipped with three electric motors with a total power of around 1000 horsepower, a range of approximately 650 km in real conditions, and fast charging, allowing for a recharge of up to 320 km of range in about 15 minutes. A fully steerable chassis is also planned, providing a turning radius like that of compact models such as the Honda Civic.
Orders for the new Jaguar GT will begin in the second half of 2026, with the first deliveries to customers planned approximately a year later. The company is confident that such radical changes to the product and brand are risky but necessary for regaining the status of a manufacturer of desirable and emotional cars.
It was previously reported that Jaguar Land Rover created the most extreme Defender.
As seen, Jaguar is moving towards electrification and experimenting with new approaches in design and technology. The company's plans indicate a desire to restore the brand's status and appeal to modern consumers who value innovation and uniqueness.
