Under the hood of the new Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L remains the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, producing 293 hp and 352 Nm of torque. Among the new offerings is a 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane 4 engine with Turbulent Jet Ignition technology, which delivers 324 hp and 450 Nm. The range is up to 814 km, and the towing capacity reaches 2.8 tons.

For those focused on economy, a hybrid version of the Grand Cherokee 4xe will be available with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, a 17.3 kWh battery, and an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission. The total power of the hybrid is 375 hp and 637 Nm of torque.

New Design and Interior

The model features a new front end with a narrow seven-section grille and evolutionarily-shaped headlights. Changes also affect the rear bumper and decor elements of the body, while the color palette has been enriched with new shades of Copper Shino, Fathom Blue, and Steel Blue.

The interior includes an updated instrument panel, a redesigned central control unit, and a large 12.3-inch multimedia screen, which replaces the previous 8.4 and 10.1-inch displays. Jeep has also simplified the trim levels, leaving three main options - Laredo, Limited, and Summit, although the number of additional packages and options remains significant.

Base models are equipped with 18-inch wheels, chrome inserts, and a suite of safety systems, including automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and active lane keeping assistance. More expensive versions include a panoramic roof, a premium Alpine audio system, Nappa or Palermo leather trims, as well as ventilation, heating, and massage functions for the seats. Optionally, a 19-speaker McIntosh system is available.

The updated Jeep Grand Cherokee 2026 is expected to go on sale by the end of this year, and the company plans to soon publish detailed technical specifications and prices.
