The Cabinet supported the introduction of economic reservation.
In Ukraine, preparations are underway for the implementation of an economic reservation system, which will allow certain categories of workers to receive a deferral from mobilization.
Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of parliament, reported this, noting that three models for implementing this mechanism are currently being considered.
The transition to monthly reporting on personal income tax (PIT) instead of quarterly is a prerequisite for the introduction of economic reservation. This will allow for more rapid monitoring of changes in citizens' employment status.
The new reservation system will cover both private and public sector employees. State and local government employees, critical infrastructure enterprises, as well as organizations crucial for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population, will fall under the mechanism.
The maximum reservation period will be 12 months. This decision is part of broader changes in the mobilization system, the latest of which were made by the government on June 5, 2024.
Earlier, the Rada stated that "economic reservation" would become one of the main factors in filling the 2025 budget.
