At the recent G7 summit, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed his support for Ukraine and the imposition of new sanctions against Russia. Ottawa announced restrictive measures against more than 40 organizations in Russia and beyond, as well as against over 200 vessels of the 'shadow fleet'.
In particular, Canada will provide military assistance to Ukraine totaling over 2 billion Canadian dollars. President Zelensky reiterated the importance of pressuring Russia and received Canada's support.
This news demonstrates the importance of supporting and cooperating between countries in challenging times when adherence to international law and stability is under threat.
