The new generation Kia Seltos is coming to Europe: what's changed.
According to Korrespondent.net: Kia has announced the second generation of the popular Seltos crossover, which has received a modern and attractive appearance and will now be available in the European market.
The new Seltos is built on the K3 platform, which is also used in the Kia Niro and Hyundai Kona models. The size of the car has increased: the length has grown by about 7.5 cm, the wheelbase has been extended, and the width has also increased.

The exterior of the new Seltos has undergone significant changes: the grille has become wider, a 'floating' roofline has appeared, as well as more expressive contours and vertical rear lights. The integrated door handles are now flush with the body.
The interior space has also received a complete redesign. The crossover is equipped with two 12.3-inch screens, while physical buttons for climate control remain. The design is borrowed from the flagship Telluride, and the platform allows for OTA updates and the use of a voice AI assistant.
The trim levels remain familiar: EX, LX, and SX, as well as stylized GT-Line and X-Line. The latter is characterized by dark metallic accents, while the GT-Line has sporty touches.
Under the hood, the familiar engines remain: two options for the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine. Power output has not changed: the base engine produces 147 hp, while the turbo engine delivers 190 hp. The most powerful version is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel-drive system will be available for an additional charge.
Additionally, the Seltos will receive a hybrid version for the first time, with few details available so far. Considering the shared platform with the Niro Hybrid, its engine may serve as the basis for the hybrid version.
Production of the second generation Seltos will begin in India in December. Sales will start in Korea, North America, China, and Europe in 2026, and the price will be announced closer to the start of sales, approximately in the summer.
Let’s not forget that earlier Kia also presented the concept of an off-road version of the electric crossover EV5, demonstrating the company's efforts in developing electric mobility.
