Kyiv breaks records: How much have housing rental prices jumped.
In September 2022, the average rental price of a one-room apartment in Kyiv was 10,000 UAH, while in Lviv it was 16,000 UAH. Two-room apartments in Kyiv averaged 15,000 UAH, whereas in Lviv they were 19,000 UAH.
According to the LUN platform, which specializes in selecting apartments for purchase on the primary and secondary housing market, the rental price of a one-room apartment in Kyiv has risen by 60% over the past two years.
The situation changed significantly at the beginning of 2024. Demand for apartments in Lviv decreased, whereas Kyiv became one of the most popular cities for internal migration due to the efficiency of air defense and the economic situation.

The return of educational institutions to offline learning also affected the rental market.
In December 2023, the average rental price of a two-room apartment in Lviv was 16,000 UAH, while in Kyiv it was 16,700 UAH.
As of today, the average rental price of a two-room apartment in Lviv reaches 22,900 UAH (a 43.5% increase since the beginning of the year), and in Kyiv it is 23,000 UAH (a 43.7% increase since the beginning of the year).
