Chinese startup sells tickets for a suborbital flight to outer space
Chinese space company Deep Blue Aerospace announced the start of ticket sales for a suborbital flight to outer space, scheduled for 2027. The sale is limited to two tickets for the first tour at a price of about $210,000. Additional seats are expected to be available in the future. This journey will allow participants to feel the space of outer space without going into orbit.
The Chinese startup is joining other companies actively developing space tourism. Well-known American companies SpaceX by Elon Musk and Blue Origin are also working in this direction. In September 2024, SpaceX successfully conducted a flight with billionaire Jared Isaacman and three other private astronauts, where Isaacman became the first person to make a private walk in outer space.
Deep Blue Aerospace advocates for the development of reusable rockets. They hope to successfully return rocket carriers to Earth by 2025. This step is important for reducing costs and enhancing the possibilities of space tourism.
SpaceX received a contract from the US Space Force
The US Space Force reported that SpaceX received a contract to launch nine space missions related to US national security for a total amount of $733.6 million. Seven out of the nine planned missions will be carried out for the Space Development Agency (SDA), which is subordinate to the US Space Force.
At the same Time, SpaceX announced the success of the first landing of the super-heavy rocket Super Heavy on the launch pad after the Starship launch. However, NASA encountered problems during the docking of the Boeing Starliner with the International Space Station (ISS). Five engines shut down during this incident.
