Military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that only under the condition of a change of power on Red Square or in the Kremlin can we hope for positive shifts.

“So far, I see that even the same 'Peace Party', as Dmitriyev - Ushakov call it, has no leverage over Putin. Lavrov still comes out and states that everything remains, that Ukraine must accept all the conditions of the Russian Federation. Until there is a change of power, there will be no cessation of hostilities. And the second reason, the main one – is the defeat of the Russian army on the battlefield. If we start to achieve victories there, at least in certain operational areas, Russia will be the first to shout about wanting to ceasefire,” says Oleg Zhdanov.
