Former Captain of 'Red Star' Dies After Game: Details of the Tragedy.
According to inkorr.com: Dejan Milovanovic, the former captain of the Serbian team 'Red Star', died on the evening of September 16 in Belgrade at the age of 42. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to Sport Klubi.
Tragedy During the Match
Milovanovic felt unwell during the game in which veterans of 'Red Star' participated. He scored a goal in the 7th minute, but when he was preparing to take a corner, he fainted and fell onto the grass.
The ambulance arrived very quickly and conducted resuscitation measures. After that, he was transported to the hospital, but unfortunately, his heart stopped again due to a double heart attack.
It was reported that Yuri Bredak (call sign 'Clever') – a titled Ukrainian rower – died on the front.
Yuri died on June 23, 2025. He was a well-known athlete – a master of sports in rowing, multiple winner of the championships of Ukraine, representing the capital at all-Ukrainian and world levels.
