The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine imposed preventive measures on the former head of the Mukachevo District State Administration, Serhiy Haidai, and the owner of a drone manufacturing company, Vladislav Marchenko. They are involved in a corruption case during the procurement of drones and electronic warfare means.

This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office in a Facebook post on Monday, August 4.

Preventive measures for Marchenko

The investigative judge of VAKS partially satisfied the request of NABU detectives, which was agreed upon with the SAP prosecutor. Marchenko was chosen to receive a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail set at 15 million UAH.

Preventive measures for Haidai

In addition, it became known from the broadcast of the court session that preventive measures were also chosen for Haidai.

'Apply a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect Serhiy Haidai for a period of 60 days'

There is also the possibility to pay bail set at 10 million UAH.

For Haidai, some procedural obligations were established:

  • to appear at the request of the detective, prosecutor, investigative judge;
  • not to leave Uzhhorod without permission;
  • to notify the detective and prosecutor of any change of residence or employment;
  • to surrender the foreign passport;
  • to refrain from communicating with other suspects;
  • not to visit one of the military units;
  • to wear an electronic bracelet.

Recall that NABU and SAP announced suspicions against participants in the criminal scheme involved in corruption during the procurement of UAVs and electronic warfare.

Earlier, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Haidai from his position as head of the Mukachevo District State Administration and Andriy Yurchenko, who was the head of the Rubizhne Military Administration.

In the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, preventive measures were chosen for the former head of the Mukachevo District State Administration, Serhiy Haidai, and the owner of the drone manufacturing company, Vladislav Marchenko, in a case of corruption. They were suspected of receiving unjust benefits during the procurement of drones and radio electronic warfare means.
