Kremlin's Strategy to Divide Europe Fails: Three Reasons.
According to ТСН: The Kremlin's strategy aimed at dividing Europe and weakening the transatlantic alliance with the US is failing. European countries continue to unite in support of Ukraine, despite attempts at discrediting.
Lavrov's Statements and Europe's Reaction
International journalist Rostyslav Khotin noted on Espreso that 'regarding Lavrov's statements about Europe blocking peace, Europeans divide them into 2 or 3, possibly even 10.' Russia tries to discredit Europe because it cannot forgive it for three important moments.
Reasons for the Kremlin's Failure
- Firstly, the Russians cannot accept that the war in Ukraine has united Europe, and countries continue to impose sanction packages and pressure the Russian Federation.
- Secondly, Russia cannot forgive Europe for its decisive support for Ukraine.
- Thirdly, despite criticism from the Trump administration, the Russians have failed to undermine the transatlantic unity between Europe and the US.
Khotin emphasized: 'Despite the anti-European sentiments from Trump's team, Europe, together with Ukraine, communicates with the US, maintains contact, and there are visits and online meetings.' He noted that Europeans do not allow Russia to distance themselves from America. 'This Kremlin strategy is failing,' he added.
Security Negotiations
It has also been reported that doubts are being expressed in the US regarding whether Ukraine really attacked Putin's residence in Valdai, as this could jeopardize peace negotiations. At the same time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that negotiations are ongoing to involve US troops to secure the demarcation lines.
Europe's position and support for Ukraine remain key aspects in the context of overall security in the region. Further actions by the Kremlin could be decisive for strengthening transatlantic partnership. The situation remains very tense, and it is important to monitor developments on the international stage, especially concerning security in Ukraine.
