A Cuban mercenary fighting on the side of Russia and currently in a prisoner of war camp was asking MP Mykola Zablotskyi for the dining menu. This was reported by Zablotskyi himself.

Zablotskyi visited the prisoner of war camp, where he met with the Cuban mercenary. Although there was no direct conversation with him, the MP arranged a video call with Orlando Boronat, a Cuban opposition figure from Miami. At Boronat's request, Zablotskyi transmitted a Spanish-language Bible and a pack of Marlboro cigarettes to the soldier.

Zablotskyi noted that the mercenary is receiving better food in captivity than at home: 'From our half-hour conversation, I understood that he is fascinated by the prison menu (grandiсsimo!). This character eats better in captivity than in Cuba, where the communist regime first, and then Russia, ruined everything.'

Zablotskyi emphasized that this visit has diplomatic significance for the Cuban diaspora in the USA. He stressed the importance of a joint struggle against Cuba and continuing work in this direction.

The MP previously reported that this man is the only Cuban mercenary of Russia who was captured alive. He also mentioned that the Cuban is receiving much better food in captivity than he could afford in Cuba.

The MP recounted how the man learned about the opportunity to earn money through a Spanish-speaking Russian who sent him a plane ticket. The mercenary had a foreign passport and dreamed of touring. After arriving in Russia, he went to war, where he only communicated in Russian.

The mercenary also admitted that he decided to go fight in Ukraine for one of the reasons: he had heard many conflicting news about the war and wanted to see everything with his own eyes.

This visit has diplomatic significance for the Cuban diaspora in the USA and is a continuation of the joint struggle against Cuba. The MP emphasized that Ukraine has a common enemy with Cuba, and it is important to continue working in this direction.
