Kuleba denied rumors about an appointment to intelligence: what was discussed with Zelensky

According to ТСН: Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba assured that he did not discuss any specific appointment to a government position with President Volodymyr Zelensky. He denied rumors about a possible transition to work at the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS).

Kuleba noted that their recent meeting with the president was a working one and did not concern appointment issues.

“We had a good conversation. In general, everything is as the president wrote in his post. Our conversation mainly concerned the situation in the country and we talked a little about international issues.”

Commenting on information circulating in the media about a possible appointment to intelligence, Kuleba expressed surprise regarding the origin of these rumors.

“I do not understand at all where these talks come from.”

The former minister confirmed that the content of their conversation with the president corresponds to the official statements of the head of state.

What is known about Zelensky's communication with Kuleba?

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that he met with Dmytro Kuleba to discuss possibilities for further cooperation.

Various media have reported that the president is considering the possibility of involving Kuleba in new roles in government, especially in the context of reforming the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

Later, Zelensky commented on journalists' questions about Dmytro Kuleba's new position after their last meeting.

The situation surrounding Kuleba highlights the dynamism of Ukraine's political environment, where personnel changes can happen amid the active work of the government. Negotiations in such cases often become a public topic of discussion, so despite the denial of rumors, some journalists will still insist on the topic of possible new appointments.
