It’s also worth noting that new rounding rules for receipts came into effect in Ukraine in 2026. Under these rules, if the total ends in 1–24 kopiyok, it rounds down to the nearest 00 kopiyok amount; totals ending in 25–49 kopiyok round to 50 kopiyok; those ending in 51–74 kopiyok also round to 50 kopiyok; and amounts ending in 75–99 kopiyok round up to the nearest 00 kopiyok. The 1, 2, 5, and 25 kopiyok coins have been removed from circulation, which further affects everyday spending.

Overall, Ukrainians are witnessing favorable changes in egg pricing, which could boost consumer demand and improve financial conditions for many households. While the new rounding policy may influence daily expenses, its long-term impact remains to be seen.
