NBU changed the official exchange rate: dollar, euro, and zloty are getting cheaper.
According to ТСН: The National Bank of Ukraine has announced the official exchange rate for Wednesday. Compared to the previous day, the cost of the US dollar has decreased by 8 kopecks and now stands at 43.17 hryvnias. The rates for the euro and the zloty have also changed, with the euro decreasing by 20 kopecks and the zloty by 6 kopecks.
This information has been published on the official NBU website.
Dollar exchange rate
1 US dollar — 43.17 (-8 kopecks)
Euro exchange rate
1 euro — 50.32 (-20 kopecks)
Zloty exchange rate
1 Polish zloty — 11.94 (-6 kopecks)
Earlier, it was reported that the euro approached 51 hryvnias. As of mid-January, the average selling rate of the euro has risen by 22 kopecks to 50.92 hryvnias.
Bankers express their opinions on currency purchases.
“I would not advise buying currency 'with all your money' in hopes of making a profit. After all, inflation is inherent not only in Ukraine but also in the USA and the EU. 'Freezing' funds in currency does not guarantee loss of their purchasing power, no matter how stable the currency may be,” — noted Sergey Mamedov.
The decrease in exchange rates may impact the market, particularly consumer prices and investment decisions. Information from the NBU is important for businesses and the population, as exchange rates are directly related to the stability of the economy. In the face of economic challenges facing Ukraine, such news helps to navigate the financial environment.
