Lyashko announced the beginning of the restoration of 'Okhmatdyt' — details.
The children's hospital 'Okhmatdyt' was damaged by a Russian strike on July 8, 2024. However, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko announced the complete restoration of the medical facility following the shelling that occurred on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Following a technical inspection, examination, and project development, construction work has begun, funded with the participation of a charity fund. The contractor was selected through an open competition on the 'Prozorro' platform. A tripartite agreement was signed between the hospital, the selected construction company, and the charity fund 'Okhmatdyt', which has been raising funds for restoration.
Despite the significant consequences of the terrorist attack, the hospital's medical staff continues to work tirelessly, implementing new solutions for patients.
Earlier, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko explained why the restoration of Okhmatdyt has been ongoing for almost a year. The rebuilding process is taking place under the supervision of law enforcement and with full transparency for the public.
After the terrorist attack, the medical hospital 'Okhmatdyt' has become a symbol of recovery and resilience. The efforts of the medical staff and the government have allowed for a rapid restoration of the facility's operations to continue providing essential medical services for children and their families.
