Assistance to Ukraine from Latvia

The Minister of Defence of Latvia, Andris Sprud, emphasized that Latvia is a reliable partner for Ukraine and continues to support it in its fight for independence and territorial integrity.
'I am confident that our Patria armored personnel carriers will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine defend their territory against the aggressor,' he noted.

Andris Sprud also pointed out that this will benefit not only the Ukrainian military but also the development of Latvia's defense industry, which will be able to test its equipment in combat conditions.

'Ukrainian soldiers will be able to use our equipment in the most challenging combat conditions, which will help us gain additional experience to enhance our own defense capabilities,' emphasized Major General Kaspars Pudans, Commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia.

Thus, Latvia has provided Ukraine with armored personnel carriers and other equipment to defend its borders against external aggression. This not only reinforces the Ukrainian military in their tasks but also fosters the exchange of experience and strengthens the defense capabilities of both partner countries.
