Lammy accused Putin's 'mafiosi' of imperialism and compared him to a slaveholder.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy condemned Putin's actions and called Russia a 'mafioso' state during a UN Security Council meeting.
He compared Putin's actions to slavery and accused the Russian government of violating international law. The minister stated that Putin interferes in the affairs of other countries only in his own interests, to expand his mafioso state and turn it into a mafioso empire based on corruption.
Lammy emphasized the importance of calling such actions by their names and saw them as an example of Russian governmental imperialism.
This statement was made at a time when Ukraine is seeking permission to use British long-range Storm Shadow missiles to strike targets in Russia.
Earlier, Sikorski had already compared Putin's regime to Nazi Germany at a UN Security Council meeting.
Recall that a meeting between Biden and Zelensky will take place at the White House.
