The new pricing will take effect on February 18, 2026, and will apply to all new customers who subscribe to these plans after that date. This move is part of broader pricing adjustments in the competitive Ukrainian telecom market.
The revised monthly costs for the 'Maksi' plan will be:
- 400 UAH for the standard rate;
- 350 UAH for identified numbers;
- 270 UAH for numbers ported into the network.
For the 'Mega' plan, the new monthly prices are set at:
- 550 UAH for the standard rate;
- 450 UAH for identified numbers;
- 350 UAH for ported numbers.
Customers who sign up for these plans before February 18, 2026, will be able to retain the current pricing. The 'Maksi' plan includes 20 GB of data and 750 minutes for calls within Ukraine, while the 'Mega' plan offers 50 GB of data and 1000 minutes for domestic calls.
Market Expansion and Strategic Moves
In a separate but related industry development, the company Kyivstar recently acquired 100% of the shares of Tabletki.ua for $160 million. This acquisition highlights the ongoing strategic expansion and investment within Ukraine's telecommunications and digital services sector.
Consequently, lifecell's tariff adjustments could influence subscriber choices and the overall competitive landscape for mobile services in Ukraine. The price increases may lead some customers to consider alternative providers, potentially affecting the company's market position. Major deals like Kyivstar's purchase of Tabletki.ua underscore continued investment in the development of Ukraine's technology and service infrastructure.
