Lifecell speeds up MNP: new number on the same day thanks to the NEURC decision.
According to inkorr.com: The mobile operator lifecell in Ukraine announced a significant acceleration of the number portability process. As reported by the company's press service, subscribers can receive an activated number in the lifecell network on the day of application submission, if this occurs before 10:30 (except for Friday and weekends).
Changes thanks to the regulator
The new time frames became possible thanks to the decision of the National Commission for the Regulation of Electronic Communications in Ukraine. Representatives of lifecell expressed gratitude to the regulator and all those who support these changes to simplify the procedure for Ukrainian users.
Leadership in subscriber choice
lifecell continues to maintain leading positions in the number portability market. During the first eight months of 2025, 240,852 subscribers chose lifecell, accounting for more than two-thirds of all portings in Ukraine. Since the launch of the MNP service, over 757,000 subscribers have ported their numbers to the lifecell network.
Comfort and speed for users
Market development priorities
The company emphasizes that speed, transparency, and comfort are the main criteria for shaping the modern electronic communications market in Ukraine. The recent changes in the number portability procedure are aimed at enhancing convenience for consumers.
Thus, lifecell has simplified the process, allowing subscribers to activate their numbers in the new network on the day of application submission. These changes, initiated by the National Commission, are intended to make life easier for Ukrainian subscribers and help lifecell maintain its leadership positions in the market.
