Only Three Summer Tire Models Pass Safety Test, Says ADAC Study.
Summer Tire Safety Evaluation
According to Novyny.live: Germany's ADAC automobile club recently tested sixteen summer tire models in the popular 225/50 R17 size, and only three achieved a high safety rating. The evaluation aimed to assess reliability and road safety for warm-weather driving.
The Continental PremiumContact 7 earned the top score, standing out as the safest option among all tested tires. Following in second and third place were the Pirelli Cinturato (C3) and the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2. Notably, the Goodyear model also offers durability up to 58,000 km, a significant advantage for drivers seeking long-lasting performance.
Tire Models to Avoid
Not all tires performed well. The Linglong Sport Master, Leao, and Lassa models received no purchase recommendation, indicating serious safety concerns. These findings highlight the critical importance of choosing high-quality summer tires for road safety.
Overall, this test underscores that consumers should prioritize safety ratings when selecting tires, as not all market offerings meet necessary standards.
The study serves as a vital reminder for drivers to carefully evaluate summer tire options, since tire quality directly impacts driving safety.
With growing competition in the automotive tire market, consumers must stay well-informed to avoid dangerous situations that can arise from using unreliable models.
