Lukashenko Takes on Checking Army Combat Readiness: Drone Tests Planned.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has announced a check on the combat readiness of the army
On February 3, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced the start of a check on the combat readiness of the army. During this check, new methods of using reconnaissance and strike drones will be tested. The ministry's press service reported.
The check will assess the readiness and ability of mechanized military units and subunits to carry out their tasks. The ministry noted that personnel must prepare weapons and equipment for use and position them in designated areas.
During the check, training and drills will be conducted at training grounds and unfamiliar territories.
As part of the check, the testing of new methods for using reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems during joint operations with ground troops and the active use of electronic warfare means will occur.
It is worth noting that several state enterprises in Belarus are involved in the production of ammunition supplied to the Russian army.
For example, the Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ), the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (Zhlobin), and the Borisov Plant of Automobile and Tractor Electrical Equipment (BATE) are involved in the production of shells of calibers 122 and 152 mm.
Recently, in January, Belarus began training territorial troops in the Gomel region, which borders the Chernihiv region.
During these exercises, they plan to restore the command skills of the territorial troops and prepare reservists to perform tasks along with the engineering units of the armed forces of Belarus.
