To use the metro, a passenger must have an electronic ticket registered in the automated passenger accounting system (ASOP). If such a ticket is expired or not entered in the system, entry to the underground will be prohibited.

Privileged passengers are also required to have a valid electronic document. If it is invalid or issued for another person, using the metro will not be possible. There are also restrictions on the dimensions of hand luggage in the underground. If the luggage exceeds the allowed size or may be dangerous to other passengers, metro staff are entitled to prohibit transportation.

Rules for Transporting Animals in 2025

Pets can be taken on the metro, but only when certain requirements are met:

• Cats can only be transported in carriers.
• Small dogs up to 45 cm at the withers can travel in arms or in special bags.
• Small animals, such as guinea pigs, hamsters, or rabbits, are allowed to be transported only in cages or containers.

Entry into the metro with wild or exotic animals is prohibited - for example, snakes, monkeys, predatory birds, or reptiles. Large dogs taller than 45 cm at the withers are also not permitted. The exception is service guide dogs. They must be muzzled, on a collar, and on a leash.
