Magnetic storms on July 23
A G1 level magnetic storm may cause minor disruptions in energy systems and affect the navigation of migratory birds and wild animals.
During the past day, solar activity remained low - only one minor C-class flare was recorded on the Sun, which will not affect Earth. On Wednesday, the geomagnetic field will fluctuate from a calm state to a weak disturbance. The Sun is likely to remain less active, but moderate (M-class) flares are possible, or, with a lesser probability, strong level (X-class) flares.
Solar activity on July 23:
- Chance of a minor geomagnetic storm - 25%
- Probability of a major geomagnetic storm - 5%
- Probability of an M-class flare on the Sun - 35%
- Probability of an X-class flare on the Sun - 5%

How to protect yourself from magnetic storms
Magnetic storms can negatively impact people's health, especially those with chronic diseases or meteorosensitivity. Timely warnings about geomagnetic disturbances allow for measures to be taken in time to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Among the main negative effects of magnetic storms:
- deterioration of the cardiovascular system;
- disruption of the nervous system;
- sleep problems;
- weakened immunity;
- exacerbation of chronic diseases;
- feelings of fatigue, lethargy, and general weakness.
Previously, we reported that Kyiv was hit by a powerful downpour that caused street flooding.
We also reported that unstable weather with temperature fluctuations and precipitation would occur in Ukraine over the week.
Summary: Today, a weak magnetic storm of the first level on the G1 scale is expected on Earth, which may affect the well-being of people, especially those sensitive to meteorological changes. The geomagnetic field will fluctuate, but more serious disturbances are not expected.Read also
