Almost 1000 hryvnias to pension: additional payments for a special category of elderly people introduced in Ukraine.
Starting from 2025, Ukraine plans to provide additional payments for lonely pensioners who require constant care. This decision is aimed at improving social protection for the most vulnerable segments of the population.
Who can receive this supplement?
Pensioners aged 80 and older, living separately from relatives, who need constant care and receive an old-age pension, starting from 2025 will have the opportunity to receive a monthly supplement of 944 hryvnias.
It is important to note that pensioners receiving a disability pension will not be eligible for this supplement, only those who receive an old-age pension.
How to receive the supplement?
In order to receive this supplement, pensioners must submit an application to social protection authorities or to the Pension Fund of Ukraine along with copies of documents and a medical conclusion confirming the need for care.
Starting from 2025, lonely pensioners in Ukraine will have the opportunity to receive special payments that will contribute to improving their social protection and living conditions.
