Prices for sausage and hard cheese rose in May
The Minfin portal published data indicating the increase in prices for the main components of sandwiches in May 2025 compared to April.
According to the information, the smoked sausage 'Alan Braunschweiger' rose from 1042.90 UAH per 1 kg in April to 1084.90 UAH in May. This means an increase of 42 hryvnias. Meanwhile, the smoked sausage 'Globyne salami' remains at the same level - 282 UAH per kilogram.
Many Ukrainians start their morning with a sandwich - this simple but hearty snack has long become an integral part of everyday food culture.
In terms of hard cheese, 'Zveny Hory Dutch' increased in price from 551.20 UAH to 580.70 UAH per kilogram. The price of the popular 'Como traditional' among Ukrainians decreased from 529.31 UAH to 482 UAH per kilogram.
Whether it's a morning toast with cheese, an evening snack with sausage, or a quick bite during the day, sandwiches remain the most affordable and practical food for many families.
