Almost 600 hryvnias per kilogram: the price of a popular product has skyrocketed in Ukraine.

In the last month, milk prices in Ukraine have fluctuated, reported the Milk Producers Association.

'In the last month, the price of pasteurized milk with a fat content of up to 2.6% in packaging, kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in tetra packs and glass, sour milk cheese with a fat content of 9%, and Suluguni cheese has decreased. The prices of other dairy products in the consumer basket either remained unchanged or increased by an average of 2.9%,' said AVM analyst Georgiy Kukhaleyshvili.

For example, pasteurized milk with a fat content of up to 2.6% in June cost an average of 45.65 UAH per kilogram, which is 75 kopecks less than in May. On the other hand, kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in packaging increased by 37 kopecks to 55.54 UAH per kilogram.

Among the products that saw significant price increases are sour cream with a fat content of 15% in cups - 191.13 UAH per kilogram, as well as domestically produced butter, which cost 584.82 UAH per kilogram in January. The price increase is attributed to the rise in the global market, according to the analyst.

Price changes for dairy products in Ukraine over the last month have varied: some items have decreased in price, while others have become more expensive, which may affect the spending of Ukrainian consumers.
