Musk called for the closure of two well-known media outlets, which also have branches in Ukraine.
Elon Musk supported the closure of media projects
American entrepreneur Elon Musk supported the closure of media projects 'Voice of America' and 'Radio Free Europe', which receive funding from the US government. He wrote about this on his Twitter.
Musk endorsed the opinion of former US Director of National Intelligence Rick Grenell, who called these publications 'a relic of the past' and 'filled with ultra-liberal activists'.
«Yes, close them», Musk wrote. He believes that these media outlets are 'not listened to by anyone' and they 'take billions of dollars a year' from American taxpayers' pockets.
«Radio Free Europe» and «Voice of America» are state media funded by American taxpayers. These media are filled with ultra-liberal activists. We do not need state media», Grenell noted.
Musk is known for his unconventional views and activity on social media. He previously referred to the US Agency for International Development as a criminal organization.
The decision by US President Donald Trump to halt aid to other countries and practically dismantle the Agency for International Development sparked negative reactions among the American public. A lawsuit was filed against the Trump administration over this, accusing the president of unconstitutional and illegal actions.
