Over 40 Strikes Hit Dnipropetrovsk Region, Leaving 13 Wounded in Massive Attack.
Dnipropetrovsk Region Under Fire
According to UATV: On April 1, Russian forces launched more than 40 attacks across two districts of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, injuring 13 civilians. All of the wounded are residents of the Nikopol district, which bore the brunt of the assault.
The strikes damaged vehicles, private homes, apartment buildings, kindergartens, businesses, and local infrastructure. A separate attack on the Hrushevska community in the Kryvyi Rih district also inflicted damage on critical facilities. These events unfolded as Ukraine recorded over 360 drone strikes nationwide on the same day, underscoring the sustained intensity of hostilities in the region.
Official Response from Local Authorities
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, detailed the aftermath of the shelling and its toll on the civilian population. Law enforcement agencies are actively documenting the destruction as the situation remains highly volatile.
“These incidents occur against the backdrop of an escalating conflict in Ukraine, signaling the continuation of active combat operations that typically result in significant human and material losses.” - Oleksandr Hanzha
The repeated targeting of civilian infrastructure and populated areas has created severe humanitarian challenges, demanding an urgent response from both local authorities and the international community.
