Strikes on Kyiv and Other Ukrainian Cities

According to Espreso.tv: At least nine people died on June 6, 2023, as a result of attacks on Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine. Among the victims were four in Kyiv and five emergency responders in Kharkiv. As of 6:07 a.m., the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) confirmed four fatalities in Kyiv, along with 25 injured individuals, including two children.

The bombardment hit several districts of the capital. In the Obolon district, a nine-story residential building was struck. Similar hits occurred in the Solomyanskyi and Desnyanskyi districts. Firefighters extinguished the blazes and evacuated 15 people, including two children. In the Darnytskyi district, falling debris ignited fires in private homes. The Pecherskyi district saw a strike on a 17-story apartment building, and a double attack triggered fires on the grounds of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Additional attacks were reported in the Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts.

Infrastructure Targeted and Aftermath

Beyond residential areas, the enemy also struck the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio in Kyiv, damaging its costume workshop. The National Cultural, Artistic, and Museum Complex 'Art Arsenal' was also hit. In the broader Kyiv region, falling debris caused fires in the Brovarskyi, Vyshhorodskyi, Buchanskyi, Fastivskyi, and Boryspilskyi districts.

In Kharkiv, a second wave of strikes killed five SES rescue workers and injured five others. At 1:30 a.m., regional military administration head Oleh Syniehubov reported an attack on the Kholodnohirskyi district. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a 34-year-old woman was wounded. Meanwhile, an assault on Dnipro destroyed a college building, shattered windows at a school and a cultural center, and left one person injured.

These events underscore the escalating situation in Ukraine and the devastating impact of military operations on civilians. The rising death toll among ordinary people and first responders highlights severe security threats and the urgent need for international support to protect non-combatants and restore stability in the region.
